EMMI MATERIALS

The FAME/EMMI network has launched a number of educational projects, notably the European Masters Course in Multifunctional Materials (http://www.fame-master.com) and a large number of PhD theses with international co-supervision (a full list can be found in the menu Research/Projects).

The project IDS-FunMAT, also supported by ERASMUS MUNDUS, will offer PhD scholarships from 2010. For details see the IDS-FunMat homepage.

We also organise or support a number of regular summer schools and other training courses for young scientists. Some of them are open for external participants, for example the European School in Multiferroics (http://www.icmab.es/ESMF2008/) . Other schools are reserved for staff and students of our members.

A tutorial series "Tools & Techniques in Materials Research" is currently in preparation in the framework of our "Research Equipment & Tools" Programme.
