EMMI MATERIALS

The FAME/EMMI network has launched a number of educational projects, notably the European Masters Course in Multifunctional Materials (http://www.fame-master.com), the International Doctoral School in Functional Materials (IDS-FunMat, www.ids-funmat.org) and a large number of PhD theses with international co-supervision (a full list can be found under the menu Research > Projects).

We also organise or support a number of regular summer schools and other training courses for young scientists, notably in collaboration with the IDS-FunMat project. Some schools are open for external participants, others are reserved for staff and students of our members.

The research techniques for materials synthesis and characterisation are evolving rapidly. We aim to 'educate' researchers and industry on the techniques used by EMMI researchers. See menu Know-How & Tools for more details.
